My artistic practice is concerned with the environment. The media I employ are drawing, painting, collage and printmaking. I gained a BA (Hons.) Fine Art from Staffordshire University and an MA Fine Art from the University of York Saint John. For several years I  worked in the printing industry as a graphic designer and printer. Subsequently I designed and painted murals for private commissions. I have exhibited paintings, drawings and prints throughout the UK.  I moved to Spain with my partner in 2019.

I am a lifelong birdwatcher and gardening enthusiast, activities that have provided me with much inspiration for my work. Through my art I can engage more deeply with the natural world. I have become increasingly concerned with the impact of human activity on the natural world. Even in the short time I have lived here I have seen changes take place in the landscape. In my practice I attempt to convey both my love of the environment and the threats it faces.

sobre mi mismo

Mi práctica artística se preocupa por el medio ambiente. Los medios que empleo son el dibujo, la pintura, el collage y el grabado. Obtuve una licenciatura (con honores) en Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Staffordshire y Maestra de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de York Saint John. Durante varios años trabajé en la industria gráfica como diseñador gráfico e impresor. Posteriormente diseñé y pinté murales para encargos privados. He expuesto pinturas, dibujos y grabados en todo el Reino Unido.  Me mudé a España con mi pareja en 2019.

Soy un observador de aves de toda la vida y un entusiasta de la jardinería, actividades que me han proporcionado mucha inspiración para mi trabajo. A través de mi arte puedo involucrarme más profundamente con el mundo natural. Me preocupa cada vez más el impacto de la actividad humana en el mundo natural. Incluso en el poco tiempo que he vivido aquí he visto cambios en el paisaje. En mi práctica intento transmitir tanto mi amor por el medio ambiente como las amenazas que enfrenta.
